A coalition of Alaskans will attend Anglo American’s AGM next Thursday to protest about the proposed Pebble mine on Alaska’s Bristol Bay.

The south-west Alaska site has the world’s largest undeveloped copper-gold-molybdenum deposit, but there is concern about the mine’s impact on the bay’s run of wild sockeye salmon – theworld’s largest. This will be the latest meeting to be attended by angry interest groups, following demonstrators at BP’s AGM last week.
