Transport for London (TfL) has appointed Andie Harper as chief executive of Tube Lines, the London Underground public-private partnership (PPP) engineering group bought out by TfL.
Mr Harper is "uniquely" qualified for the role, having led the transfer of the bankrupt Metronet – the other party to the capital's Underground network PPP – into TfL two years ago, TfL says.
TfL's takeover of Tube Lines is expected to be completed by the end of this month. Andrew Cleaves, the acting chief executive of Tube Lines since Dean Finch left to run National Express this spring, will leave once the deal is done.
Mike Brown, London Underground's managing director, said: "Mr Harper understands London's transport system through his time at London Underground and through leading Metronet's smooth transition to TfL."Reuse content
