Audi in mass recall over faulty airbags

Audi has announced it recalling nearly 102,000 luxury cars in the US citing faulty air bags that may not inflate in a crash.

The recall covers certain A4 and S4 cars from the 2013 through 2015 model years, plus the 2013 through 2015 Audi allroad.

Audi says that it is part of a wider global recall that the company announced last week covering about 850,000 vehicles from the 2013 to 2015 model years.

The company said in documents posted by US safety regulators that the problem was discovered in tests done back in August.
