Brits looking for property bargains abroad
With the Spanish and Irish economies teet-ering and Germany proving a financial rock for the tremulous Eurozone, British interest in buying property overseas is booming.
Enquiries soared by 53 per cent last month, according to figures from Rightmove Overseas and Moneycorp, with Spain continuing to top the league, followed by France, the US and Australia.
Germany, France, Italy and Ireland saw the biggest spikes, as prospective investors looked for bargains or sought to capitalise on the stability in Germany, according to Rightmove's Robin Wilson.
