BT to cut 13,000 jobs
British Telecom has announced it is to cut 13,000 jobs in its retail division.
A spokesman said that the cuts would come over the next three years, and corresponded to 19% of retail staff. The move was described as being part of a £850 million cost-cutting exercise and would not necessarily entail compulsary redundancies.
