CBI chief fears for UK’s influence after veto

The director-general of the CBI, John Cridland, has warned that “market uncertainty will continue” after David Cameron wielded the UK veto at the eurozone summit.
In a private email to the CBI’s board and the chairmen’s committee last week, Mr Cridland asked for help to defend British business interests as a result of the veto. He said: “Informal soundings among CBI members suggest that there is concern it could now be more challenging to exercise British influence.”
