The Chez Gerard restaurant brand is to disappear following its acquisition by Brasserie Bar Co, founded by Raymond Blanc, for around £10m.

Mark Derry, chief executive of Brasserie Bar Co, said he would invest £4m to rebrand eight Chez Gerard restaurants in London into Brasserie Blancs. The acquisition includes central London Chez Gerard sites, such as Covent Garden, Southbank and the Tower of London.
