Chief's bonanza at Johnston Press
Johnston Press's chief operating officer Danny Cammaide earned £825,000 last year, including a cash bonus worth 125 per cent of salary, despite the newspaper publisher losing £6.7m. He is leaving after 21 years with a pay-off worth a year's salary, plus pension and another 125 per cent bonus. The chief executive Ashley Highfield earned £701,000.
Johnston has just cut 30 editorial jobs at The Scotsman newspaper.
