The banknotes printer De La Rue yesterday said its trading is in line with its expectations but it will go ahead with planned cost-cutting.

It said its currency division has made "good progress" since its interim results on 24 September while order intake and enquiries were "good and consistent". De La Rue, which designs and produces more than 150 currencies, aims to save £30m over three years. First-half revenue was £238.1m, with pre-tax profit of £29m.
