EDF has kept its title as the worst major energy firm for dealing with customer complaints.
The French-owned company – which reported UK profits of £1.6bn for 2011 – was given a zero-star rating in the latest league table of energy complaints published by Consumer Focus yesterday. It attracted 188.5 complaints per 100,000 customers in the three months to the end of December.
A spokesman for EDF – which supplies electricity and gas to 5.5 million customers in the UK – said: "We are extremely disappointed that our service standards failed to meet the high levels our customers deserve."
