Four years after a fire tore through the Channel Tunnel, its operator Eurotunnel has said it would receive €253m (£202m) from its insurers for the claim.

It means another €30m on top of the payout recorded in its accounts last December. Although the tunnel re-opened after four months in February 2009, the legal and financial repercussions have taken far longer to sort out.
