Final objections to News Corp are due
The Culture Secretary, Jeremy Hunt, has given opponents to Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation and BSkyB takeover until this week to raise final objections.
But the Government said it was ready to give merger clearance for the acquisition. The deal will see News Corporation buy the remaining 61 per cent of the satellite broadcaster it doesn't already own. The takeover could make the media conglomerate's stake swell to a £10bn valuation.
