Marks & Spencer has been hit by the departure of a second senior director in as many weeks.

Susan Aubrey-Cound, the retailer's director of new channels, is to step down after 11 years at the business, following the decision by Alison Jones, its brand director for general merchandise, to quit after less than a year in the role.

M&S said Ms Aubrey-Cound was leaving to "pursue broader management opportunities in multi-channel marketing".
