Naguib Kheraj, the City veteran who quit Lazard recently after just six weeks heading its international business, is returning to Barclays as a strategic adviser. Mr Kheraj, who was finance director at Barclays until 2007, will rejoin with a mandate to advise the chief executive, Bob Diamond "on a range of commercial and policy issues". He will spend about 30 per cent of his time on the role, but will still dedicate most of his time to his charitable work.
