Lovering set to leave Debenhams in 2010

John Lovering, chairman of the department store company Debenhams, is expected to say that he is to step down next year when the group announces its full-year results on Thursday.
Mr Lovering joined Debenhams in December 2003, and was appointed chairman in May 2006. As well as Debenhams, he is also chairman of Homebase Group and of the Fitness First chain of gyms.
