Men in part-time work paid less than women
The Office for National Statistics said yesterday that men in part-time work are paid less than women, suggesting that at least one of the traditional imbalances between men and women is reversing.
The latest statistics, which relate to last year, suggest that men in part time work are paid 3.5 per cent less than women, on average. However among employees as a whole, men there is a pay difference of 22.5 per cent in favour of men and the pay difference for full-timers was 12.8 per cent.
