PopCap Games, the US video game developer behind the hugely popular Plants v Zombies and Bejeweled titles, is looking to get half its revenue from outside North America by 2014.
At present, only a quarter of sales comes from its two other major markets, Europe and Asia Pacific. This will see staff numbers increase in its European headquarters in Dublin from 60 to 110. The developer, which focuses heavily on games for smartphones and social media sites, is eyeing up an eventual stock market flotation. Its chief executive David Roberts has said that PopCap might file for a listing by November.Reuse content
