Sainsbury's has suspended its home delivery website because of technical problems, it announced today.
The retailer froze the site yesterday afternoon after problems arose with processing orders due to be delivered to customers today.
About 10,000 customers are thought to be affected.
It is not known when the service will be back to normal and no orders can be placed until the problem is fixed.
A spokeswoman said: "We suspended our online home delivery website yesterday afternoon when we identified a technical issue and we are contacting customers whose deliveries have been impacted.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."
The security of customer details had not been affected, she added.
Customers had been offered a £10 voucher to use once the service was operating again.Reuse content
