Slanj, the Glasgow-based retailer, is doing a roaring trade in anti-England T-shirts, as the 2010 World Cup gets under way.

In the past three months, it has sold 6,000 with the brand “Anyone but England”. The police have said the logo could potentially be racist. But Scots have shrugged off the claims and happily pay £20 for a T-shirt supporting England’s group rivals USA, Algeria and Slovenia. Slanj initially expected to sell a few hundred.
