Sixth-formers encouraged by role models
One hundred award-winning women from all walks of life met 100 sixth-formers at the Women of the Future Ambassadors Programme in London last week, to talk to them about their future careers.
They were also there to celebrate Caroline O'Loughlin a sixth-former at the Ursuline High School, winning an essay competition. She was presented with an award by Miriam González Durántez, partner at DLA Piper and wife of the Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg. Sponsored by Aviva and The Independent on Sunday, the event was organised by Pinky Lilani, who also organises the annual Asian Women of Achievement awards.
