Sky fury over Ofcom's 'extreme' intervention

Broadcasting giant BSkyB yesterday hit back at Ofcom's proposals to regulate the pay-TV market, calling the intervention "extreme and unprecedented".

Ofcom plans to compel Sky to wholesale its premium content, including Premier League football, to rivals at a reduced price. Sky said the regulator's proposals "go beyond competition law" in yesterday's submission, adding its financial modelling wasn't "fit for purpose".
