David Cameron is the surprise guest to address CBI members tomorrow at their conference at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, being held with the timely theme: "Opportunity, Growth and Investment."

The Prime Minister is expected to tell business leaders that the latest spending cuts will lay the foundation for private industry to flourish, although many will want to hear what the Government plans in its White Paper on growth to be published in the next few weeks. Other speakers include Paul Tucker, a Bank of England deputy governor; former Canadian PM Paul Martin; and Barclays' new chief executive, Bob Diamond.
