Tesco director takes up non-executive post at ITV
Tesco's Lucy Neville-Rolfe has joined ITV as a non-executive director to help drive its new team's turnaround and tackle potential regulatory hurdles.
The corporate and legal affairs director at the grocery giant, Ms Neville-Rolfe, right, made her name in the corridors of Whitehall before joining Tesco in 1997. She held a number of posts in government departments, including the Prime Minister's Policy Unit in 10 Downing Street and the Cabinet Office.
Archie Norman, who became ITV's chairman in January and hired Adam Crozier as chief executive, said: "Lucy brings to ITV a unique combination of consumer and governmental experience."
A regulatory challenge that ITV faces is the Competition Commission's review of the contracts rights renewal system, which places restrictions on its selling of advertising airtime.
