1. UK industrial production figures are coming at 9.30am. Year on year and month on month data for September will be released, with analyst predicting around a 0.2 per cent increase for the month.

2. Interest rates are not the tool to control housing market says Bank of England deputy governor Minouche Shafik. She also said the Bank could cut interest rates below the current record low of 0.5 per cent if needed.

3. TalkTalk has given more details of the cyber-attack, saying nearly 157,000 of its customers' personal details were accessed and more than 15,600 bank account numbers and sort codes were stolen.

5. The controversial taxi-hailing app Uber is coming to Edinburgh. Uber said more than 65,000 people in the capital had already opened the app ahead of Friday's 4pm launch.

6. Two British bankers, Anthony Allen and Anthony Conti, who worked for Dutch lender Rabobank have been convicted by a New York jury of manipulating inter-bank lending rates.

7. Insurer Allianz has said profit was down to a "volatile financial market", as it reported a 15 per cent drop in net profit in the three months to September to $1.5 billion.

8. International Airlines Group has announced that Alex Cruz is to replace Keith Williams as chairman and chief executive of British Airways in April 2016, when Mr Williams retires after 18 years at the airline.

9. Revenue at the Walt Disney Company grew for its fourth quarter of 2015, coming in at $13.5 billion (£8.88 billion), up nine per cent from $12.4 billion for its fourth quarter of 2014.

10. H&M's latest collaboration with designer Balmain is a hit. The collection has already sold out on H&M's website and people are reselling the clothes on Ebay for thousands of dollars.
