NATIONAL EXPRESS and courier DHL said yesterday they would each invest pounds 35m in new facilities at East Midlands Airport in the next three years. A parcel sorting and office building is to become operational in 2000. DHL staff at the airport near Derby will rise by 300 to 1,000 over the next five years. National Express, the airport's owner, will develop aircraft parking and taxiway links.
