SCOOT.COM, the business directory, yesterday said it had signed a deal with CurrantBun to provide its services on the Web pages of the free Internet service provider of News International's Sun newspaper. "This latest announcement is just the first step in a raft of initiatives we will be working with CurrantBun on over the coming months to develop the relationship between our two brands." said Scoot's chief executive Robert Bonnier.

Launched earlier this year, the Sun's free Internet service provider has around 330,000 subscribers, but trails far behind pioneer Freeserve's more than 1.25 million.
