SHARELINK, the telephone-based stockbroking service, is planning a flotation. It is expected to make a multi-millionaire of David Jones, the chief executive, who led the management buyout from BT and the regional broker Albert E Sharp. His pounds 4,000 initial investment six years ago could be worth pounds 6m.

The Birmingham-based ShareLink, which has 300,000 clients, plans to seek some fresh capital in the float, which could value it at well in excess of pounds 30m.
