RJR Nabisco, the US food and tobacco giant, has recruited as its new chief executive a one-time smoker who quit after suffering a heart attack. Charles Harper is joining RJR from ConAgra, the second-largest food processor in the US, where he was instrumental in introducing healthier foods.
