Don't miss out on the goings on in the business world, with our daily round-up of the biggest news from the City.

Another day, another set of dreadful figures from Tesco.

The troubled supermarket chain recorded the worst performance of any UK grocer during the three months ending October 12 according to industry figures released today.

Sales were down 3.6 per cent year-on-year and its market share slipped from 30.1 per cent to 28.8 per cent.

Elsewhere, Leicester City’s crushing 5-3 win over Manchester United proved lucky for one punter at William Hill last month, who collected a whopping €268. Despite this heavy setback William Hill looks on course for a good year after profits surged 89% in the third quarter.

And finally, spare a thought for Satya Nadella, the Microsoft executive who advised women to rely on "good karma" for a pay rise earlier this month. He has been heavily criticised since making the comments at a conference in the US although last night it emerged that he’s getting $84 million in pay.
