UBS forecasts 2% house prices rise

House prices are set to recover slightly by about 2 per cent next year after the collapse of the last 12 months, according to a new report by UBS, the Swiss banking group, yesterday. But Rob Thomas, the report's author, warned that when the recovery comes it will "appear weak and faltering at first".
