Warning of poor peat harvest hits William Sinclair

Shares in William Sinclair, the garden products group, slumped 36p to 196p after it warned that cold and wet weather in Scotland had hit the peat harvest. Profits for the year to June are expected to be up to 20 per cent down on last year's pounds 4.6m. The full-year dividend will be unchanged at 7p.
