Care chief 'planned private health firm'
A health authority finance executive has been suspended amid claims that he was planning to set up his own company selling private health care, it was revealed last night.
Officials have launched an inquiry into the activities of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Health Authorities' deputy finance director, Robert Bridge. A second member of staff at the health authority is also understood to have been suspended.
