Come Rain or Shine...
HUNDREDS OF mountain villages in northern Spain were cut off yesterday following heavy snowfall, officials said.
Worst hit was the region of Castilla-Leon, where police said roads leading to at least 103 villages were blocked, affecting some 3,300 people.
Two major passes and 23 minor routes were cut off. Motorists had to use chains on a further 65 roads, the state news agency, EFE, reported.
