Corfu death mystery
A SECOND post-mortem examination on the body of teenage holidaymaker Karen Murray has failed to establish how she died, it was disclosed yesterday.
It is understood that vital evidence in the form of medical material alleged to have been found in her body has not been returned by the Greek medical authorities.
Karen, 19, collapsed and died on the Greek island of Corfu last week. An initial examination found surgical gauze and plastic clips in her intestine. It was later disclosed that Karen, from Birkdale, Merseyside, had undergone an operation at Liverpool's Alder Hey Children's Hospital eight years ago.
An inquest into the tragedy will be opened and adjourned today.
