Young teachers do not feel valued and respected by the Government, according to a survey released yesterday at a national union meeting of teachers under the age of 30.
More than eight out of 10 young teachers feel the Government rarely or never respects and values them, the NASUWT Young Teachers' Consultation Conference in Birmingham said yesterday. Nearly half said an excessive workload was their main concern, while job insecurity was a worry for one in five. Almost a quarter were rarely or never given opportunities to access training.
