No, not clever. But very wealthy, young and stunningly beautiful, with highly questionable integrity, so what does it matter?

Compared with lichen, yes. Compared with a termite colony, probably not. But then, I don't like the word "clever". Do you think you are?

i'm not saying anything, because in the past whenever, i have
allowed myself to be flattered by thinking i'm clever, something has always happened to prove me wrong (e.g i'd get really bad results in the next exam). in my culture it's called putting "nazaar" on yourself.
And anyway modesty's the approach with most people, so...
I'll say: "i'm not that clever, i'm just kind of ok."
But i'll be thinking: "of course i think i'm clever, i wouldn't be having this interview if i didn't

Err, well obviously cleverer than the person who started this silly article with no words just an ambiguous title. Bet your a spotty smart arse studying law or politics at Oxbridge, if so am I supposed to say how clever you are? well, pretty dumb if you ask me.

Well everyone is clever in their own way whether or not you're acedemically or practically clever and everyone believes themselves to be clever as well so the real question should be are you actually clever? with justification to prove your reasoning

The last comment is offensive to all who have applied ro Oxbridge from State schools and unprivileged backgrounds. for me to apply I had to conquer the last state school fauz pas of asserting myself and claiming I thought I was clever enough to go to Oxbridge. This question japes the notion that you have to feel clever, independent and argumentative to attain Oxbridge standards. The best advice I had before my interview? Tell the truth - 'I don't know the answer, but I really want to find out' that's what Oxbridge are looking for.
