i would rather be a poem, because i would rather be short and simple to convert my message to people rather than being lengthy and long. some poems may not be understandable to some people, but if a person puts in effort to understand one, he/she will realize the message hidden in a poem, which is why i think being a poem would make me feel more appreciated ^^
