THE Netherlands snatched a 2-2 draw with England in last night's World Cup Group Two qualifier at Wembley. John Barnes and David Platt put England two up, but Des Walker's foul four minutes from time allowed the Dutch to equalise from a penalty.

Scotland's Group One prospects dived as they lost 5-0 to Portugal in Lisbon. Niall Quinn scored in the Republic of Ireland's 1-1 draw with Denmark in a Group Three match in Dublin, but Northern Ireland went down 3-1 to Spain in Seville. In Group Four, Mark Hughes gave Wales a 1-1 draw with the RCS in Ostrava.
