Fall kills Timor rebel chief
THE LEADER of rebels fighting Indonesian rule in East Timor died in an accident on the island, Portugueseradio Antena reported. Konis Santana died after falling into a ravine. Jose Ramos-Horta, exiled East Timor resistance leader and co-winner of the 1996 Nobel Peace Prize, confirmed the report.
