Fear of crime `justified'

More than 90 per cent of people in Britain live in fear of crime with justification, according to a report published yesterday.

The survey says that 67 per cent of people have been a victim of a crime such as burglary or car theft. Women are more likely to live in fear of crime than men, though they are less likely to become victims, according to the survey, by Mintel.
