French fishing boats invade
A French coastguard vessel has been ordered to intervene if British authorities attempt to arrest Breton or Norman fishing boats planning to "invade" two disputed areas of Channel Islands waters.
Dozens of fishing boats are due to sail into the areas tomorrow in protest against the Guernsey authorities' decision to abandon an agreement allowing the French to fish the waters. The agreement ends at midnight tonight. Philip Jeune
