Fund hope for Knoydart

THE Government yesterday announced it was to set up a fund to enable communities to buy the land on which they live.

Following the successful purchase of the island of Eigg by its residents, people in Knoydart - set in 16,000 acres on a West Highland peninsula - wish to buy their home estate.
