KATHY Horden, the wife of one of Britain's leading architects, has died after a horse-riding accident in Hyde Park, it was disclosed yesterday.

Mrs Horden, 51, whose husband, Richard, helped design Stansted Airport with Sir Norman Foster, was thrown when her horse bolted, but her foot remained trapped in the stirrup. She was dragged along the ground for some distance. She died last Friday after emergency surgery for severe head injuries at the National Neurological Hospital. Police are treating the incident as a tragic accident.
