Owners of vintage race cars from the 1920s and 1930s spent the weekend powering their way up a 2,126ft fell in the Lake District as part of an annual pilgrimage.

A record number of the sport cars enthusiasts from across the country gathered in the scenic Lake District with their old vehicles.

Over 150 vehicles, including Bentleys, Austins and Bugatti scaled Fleetwith Pike in Cumbria amid the wet weather conditions.

The classic car owners got behind the wheel and powered the cars they've been meticulously restoring for decades.
