IoS writer picks up top award
t DAVID AARONOVITCH, columnist and television critic for the Independent on Sunday, was named Broadcast Journalist of the Year at last week's What the Papers Say awards.
t He received the Peter Black Award for writing about broadcasting, with judges commenting: "He brings an intelligent and sophisticated style to the subject - a style which relates TV programmes, not just to other TV programmes, but to real life."
t David Aarononvitch's award was the third accolade within days for Independent on Sunday journalists. In last week's prestigious British Picture Editors' Awards, two IoS photographers - David Rose and Rui Xavier - received special recognition for their black and white photography.
