Kirsty murder charge

A MAN was last night charged with the murder of missing police computer operator Kirsty Carver. Craig Belcher, 23, of Hull, would appear before Driffield magistrates tomorrow.

Mr Belcher, a petrol station attendant, was charged after being questioned for three consecutive nights about the murder of Ms Carver. The hunt for the civilian employee of Humberside police was called off yesterday after the discovery of a woman's body 35 days after she disappeared from her home in Hull.
