POLICE in riot gear were called to an Orange hall in Northern Ireland last night after rival Unionist leaders confronted each other at a rally.

The Rev Ian Paisley was due to address Democratic Unionist Party followers in Lisburn, Co Antrim, when they became involved in an altercation with Ulster Democratic Party supporters led by Gary McMichael.
