Detectives were last night questioning a man about two double murders. They were interviewing a 53-year-old in connection with shotgun killings in west Wales that happened four years apart.

The first was in 1985, when Richard and Helen Thomas, brother and sister, were shot at close range at their farm near Milford Haven.

The second case was in 1989, when the ramblers Peter and Gwenda Dixon were shot as they strolled the Pembrokeshire coastal path.
