Current Google Insights trends: Brooke Hundley, Quelle

People in the US and Canada have been busy searching for the name of a young woman involved in a sex scandal with a well known TV personality on the morning of October 28.

Twenty-two-year-old Brooke Hundley is in hot water over her extracurricular relationship with former boss and ESPN sports analyst Steve Phillips. The affair -- which has resulted in Phillips' wife demanding a divorce and ESPN firing the baseball analyst -- is making headlines in online gossip blogs and newspapers.

On October 26, ESPN announced they had made the decision to fire Phillips after he confessed to the affair with Brooke Hundley. The Entertainment and Sports Programming Network also revealed the former employee would undergo treatment "to address his personal issues."

Searches for German catalogue shopping brand Quelle continue to trend on Google Insights. After failed attempts to find investors, the mail-order company announced it would be forced to liquidate the business.

Quelle was one of the biggest mail-order stores in Germany, in business for over 80 years. The company sold a wide range of products - from washing machines to perfume - via the internet and mail-order catalogues.

The collapse of Quelle has put around 7,000 German jobs in jeopardy. European electronics brands such as Electrolux have indicated that the collapse of the mail-order company will impact their sales volumes. The Deutsche Post, DHL has already cut 400 jobs in relation to Quelle's demise.
