The name of German goalkeeper Robert Enke is the search term with the most significant growth worldwide on the morning of November 16.

Tens of thousands of fans gathered at the Hannover Stadium to say farewell to German footballer Robert Enke at a public memorial service on Sunday November 15.

Fans not able to attend the ceremony headed to Google to watch internet broadcasts of the service, resulting in a spike in internet searches for the name of the football star and his team, Hannover 96.

The name of convicted sniper "spree killer" John Allen Muhammad has entered into the list of trending topics on Google Insights on November 16. Muhammad was executed by lethal injection on November 10 in Virginia, USA.
